A map of the castle area

View from the viewing platform at the l old castle..........
 and then in the garden.

Looking for mouses or mices!

The castle grounds....old bits of the walls are scattered about....they might not know what to do with them!

Another for the collection...

They have a zoo here but I think there is more to it than that!

OPAM

One of the exhibitions...strange stuff!

Now this bit is good - not sure if it is all one person's work...Almost life sized and mainly calico or very similar...

The eggs...

Sorry it isn't sharpe, but you get the idea..

See what I man about them being big...

By the indoor pool...

The little girl was dead cute and was already aware of red and blue (in English).

Time...

The view out of the window....and to the right the research room...

Looking down on the lampshades.

The open roof and the display - with little puddles to boot!

Taxi anyone?

Looking for the bus stop had to see what this place was with all that hanging stuff...

Was looking for the bus stop....its not in here....but what's that at the end of the corridor...better have a look-see....

Bamboo structure with wool on......means something to somebody!!

Sumo promotional poster I wonder?

Typical bus stop sign......in the end I worked out it was going in the wrong direction so quickly leggd it over the road and thankfully a bus cam straight away and whisked me up...

Now at The other Art gallery... thought even the corridor was pleasing. Had seen more Mucha prints than had hot dinners!! Came out and only got 5 minutes to get the bus back to the station so had to take the elephant from a good distance away. Wonder if it is another of the symbols of the city?

View from the bus as we speed along to th next set of traffic lights.

Back at Beppu and outside the station the usual dipping of hands in the bubbling water...

And smiley uncle still has his hands in the air!

Tomorrow is another day so let's head home and rest a while!

  1. My favourite of your museum trips so far, Sylvia so perhaps my tastes are more contemporary than I thought. The huge eggs were fabulous but didn't like the calico figures - creepy. Yesterday's weather here was pretty dreadful -thought we were going to have to build an ark! Take care of yourself and not too long before we see you back home now. Hope you manage to make the most of your last week. xx
