Another sunny day...

Another small procession today - just one float and a pipe band!
View from the top of the tourist informataion office block at Asakusa....and it is windy at the top!
Another dragon photo - just look at th chap on the left - glarey-scarey-or what!
Visted Edo Shitamachi traditional craft museum today.
This is what you can do with your braids! Think I have sorted out loading photo problem so things should be better for you my readers!
Thought the taxi looked like something from an Amrican movie! Look at the buiding shapes in the background.
And this is th view 180 degrees in othr direction.
Toyko Sky tower which the brave can ascend, but I am not that brave!

Lunch being prepared.
This is the equivalent of a keep left sign!

The Ueno boxwood shop htat I had purposely gone to - but forgot that it is Sunday and Boxwood-san is obviously having a rest today!! Will rturn on Wednesday.
The Lotus leaves at the Shinobazu pond, Ueno. They are big!

and quite untidy looking.
LBJ tweeting and beign fed in spite of all the signs!

It seemed that the local elderly gnts came armed with bags of food balls to feed the irds by hand. I had to hold out my hand btu can't take photo at same time!! Birds have sharp little claws and a strong grip.
This couple were watchign the bird feeding but didn't want to join in!
Close up of the lotus leaf pagoda - a bit wonky!
The seagulls were dive bombing the locals who had just come along to take the air. The boating lake was vry busy.
Check out the pocket! Taking your dog for a walk, trndy teenager style!
Now can you see they are big leaves!
This is part of the Japanese garden at Kyu-Iwasaki-tei gardens. The bag is 90% lawn with just trees and shrubbery around the periphery. The English influence! Inside the house was the most amazing gold leaf embossed hand made wallpaper - look it up if you want to know what it was like as you were forbidden from taking photos in the house!
Still in h
Still in the shrubbery!
And almost at the end!
View from the side at the back of the house - will be better with a bit of enhancing!
Now somewhere is the station - just follow the people!
DVD's foe sale 3 for Y900!! No interest shown by passers by - no surprise there!

  1. Glad to see you're managing to post pictures. Loved the bird in the craft museum. I think there was mizuhiki in there as well as braids.
